Nancy Bolt led a workshop in Blagoevgrad

BLIAOn June 7 and 8, Nancy Bolt, USA led a workshop on “How to write a compelling grant proposal” in Dimitar Talev Regional Library in Blagoevgrad.

As part of the XXI BLIA National Conference, the session was attended by 25 librarians – 7 from school libraries in Blagoevgrad, 6  representing Dimitar Talev Regional Library, 2 –  Sofia City Library and 2 – Prof. Boyan Penev Library in Razgrad, and by one participant from Central Medical Library – Sofia, Isperih Municipal Library and the libraries of Technical University – Sofia, University of Food Technology – Plovdiv, American University, South-West University “Neofit Rilski”, Community Centre “Nikola Vaptzarov” – Blagoevgrad and Community Centre “Svetlina – 1907” – Yakoruda.

Nancy Bolt’s lecture was appropriately supplemented with exercises and illustrations from  the Bulgarian library practice (successful projects like ABLE and guidelines for current announcements). Grouped in 6 teams, the participants had the opportunity to work out their own grant proposals and received valuable advice from Ms. Bolt.
